The Associate Press has reported that Washington State is the only one considering mandated insurance coverage for abortions, bucking the trend set by 21 other states.  AP reported that the bill — dubbed The Reproductive Parity Act by supporters — cleared the state’s House but its chances in the Senate are “uncertain.”

The wire service noted that a similar proposal has been put forth in New York during each session for the last 10 years but never made it to a public hearing.  Read the full story at
