Premera breachInsurance commissioners in Washington, Oregon and Alaska will join forces to investigate Premera Blue Cross following a recent data breach that exposed more than 11 million individuals’ financial and medical information, according to a NP Privacy Partner blog. The regulators will examine Premera’s financial books, records, and transactions.

The scope of investigation may include Premera’s response to the breach and the corrective actions it has taken, the cybersecurity issues related to the breach, and the financial impact of the breach on Premera, its providers and consumers, NP says.
