Brian S. Brown has been an attorney with the law office of Saul E. Kerpelman & Associates, P.A., for the past ten years. The six attorney practice based in Baltimore, MD, is devoted exclusively to the representation of children who have been exposed to lead-based paint. Mr. Brown is lead trial counsel and has received several multimillion dollar verdicts on behalf of these children, including many of the largest received in Maryland in contested lead-paint cases. He received the largest lead-paint verdict in Maryland State history ($21M) in October 2010. He has been a trial attorney for more than 25 years and has tried well over 100 tort jury trials of all types and seriousness. Additionally, he served as both trial and appellate counsel in the two leading lead-paint insurance coverage cases in Maryland: United Servs. Auto Ass’n v. Riley, 393 Md. 55 (Md. 2006), and Md. Cas. Co. v. Hanson, 169 Md. App. 484 (Md. Ct. Spec. App. 2006). He also successfully briefed and argued the seminal case concerning personal tort liability of LLC members in lead paint cases. Mr. Brown holds a bachelor of science in finance from Ithaca College (1982), and a juris doctorate (1985) and master of laws (1991) from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Patricia S. Ciccarelli is a partner at Brown & Kelly, LLP. Ms. Ciccarelli is a trial attorney with experience in many areas of defense civil litigation, including general negligence, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, construction site accidents, products liability, municipal law, toxic torts and appeals. Ms. Ciccarelli is well known in the legal community and among insurers as having particular expertise in defending lead paint claims. Ms. Ciccarelli is a native of Buffalo, New York. She received her undergraduate degree from Binghamton University. She is a 1994 law school graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she was awarded the United States Department of Justice Special Achievement Award, following an internship with the Office of the US Attorney. She also attended L’Universite d’Aix-en-Provence in France, where she studied Renaissance Art and French Business Law.
