HB is proud to announce Hon. Richard C. Neal (Ret.), former Associate Justice, California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, has joined the faculty of the All Sums, Reallocation and Settlement Credits Conference. Justice Neal will participate on the featured “Lightning Round of Mock Oral Arguments” session on May 10 in New York, along with attorneys Charles Browning of Plunkett Cooney, P.C.; Robert Horkovich of Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C.; and Martin Pentz of Foley Hoag LLP.
Justice Neal joined JAMS in 2001 after retiring early from the Court of Appeal, and has since practiced full-time as a mediator, arbitrator, and ADR neutral. He served as Associate Justice in the Second Appellate District of the California Court of Appeal, (1997-2001) and as Judge in Los Angeles County Superior Court (1992-1997). He was in private practice in Los Angeles from 1973-1992.
Justice Neal is a frequent CLE lecturer and panelist on ADR, civil procedure, business law, employment law, and appellate practice. His experience includes successful mediations in hundreds of cases in various fields, such as Commercial, Employment, Class Actions, Entertainment, Banking, Insurance, Real Estate, and Professional Liability. Justice Neal was selected as “Top 50 California Neutral,” in the Daily Journal Extra in 2003 and 2010.
