The Hon. Elihu M. Berle, of the L.A. Superior Court Complex Civil Litigation Panel, will be rounding out the panel of significant California construction litigation judges who are slated to speak at the HB Litigation Conferences Construction Litigation Leaders’ Forum 2012.
Judge Berle will be joining Judge Keith Davis of the Superior Court of San Bernardino County, Justice Victoria Gerrard Chaney of the Court of Appeal, Second District and Judge Carl West of the Complex Litigation Panel of the Los Angeles Superior Court. All four judges have extensive experience adjudicating construction litigation as well as other major mass torts and their discussion should prove to be highly informative for construction litigators.
Judge Berle of the Superior Court of California was appointed to the bench in 1996 where he presided over felony trials until 1999 when he was assigned to the individual calendar fast track civil trial courtroom in downtown Los Angeles. Before becoming a judge, he worked in the private practice of law for 26 years, specializing in business and commercial litigation.
HB’s Construction Litigation Leaders’ Forum 2012 will be held at the Sheraton Delfina in Santa Monica on March 8-9, and is designed to provide a comprehensive view of the litigation for all parties—plaintiffs, defendants, insurers and in-house counsel.
