Retail data breaches capture a lot of headlines, but NAS Insurance warns that companies that rely on computers to manage their manufacturing systems, power grids and pipelines face a much higher security risk.
Failures of this type may be classified as “cyber” risks, NAS says.
In collaboration with Stroz Friedberg, NAS produced a white paper called, Cyber Risks in Industrial Control Systems, in order to move the commercial cyber liability discussion beyond data breach and privacy. The white paper illustrates the risks of industrial control systems with recent, real-world incidents across a range of industries.
NAS is a sponsor of HB Litigation Conferences’ NetDiligence Cyber Risk & Privacy Liability Forum, June 7-8 in Philadelphia.
